Cowboy boots

CUBMASTER MINUTE COWBOY BOOTS

Have you ever wondered why cowboy boots have fancy stitching? Simply to make the
boots last longer, and because people like pretty things. Long ago the towns didn’t have
cement sidewalks. The streets were very dirty, and after a rain, they were a muddy
quagmire. The boots, with their high tops, kept feet out of the mess. Cowboys walked in
other mucky places where the high tops protected their feet. They were great when they
were chasing cattle through the prickly brush on horseback. Another reason for the high heel
was to keep the foot in the stirrup. Just like the boot kept feet protected, Cubs have people
to help them. Parents, Cub Leaders, Teachers, and Church leaders help them stay on course.
