Patriotic Pin – Veteran’s Day – Nov. 
Materials:
Red, White & Blue striped ribbon
Star Button
Wearable pin
White Glue or hot glue
Small Cowbell
1/4" ribbon (about 3" long)
Cut a strip of striped ribbon about 6" long. Twist around and glue. Glue the pin on the back.
Thread a small ribbon through the bell. Tie a knot, then glue to the top of the ribbon to the back of the button.
Glue the button onto the front of the larger ribbon. Let Freedom Ring !!!


When You Wish Upon A Star  
Mickey Mouse’s Birthday – Nov. 18th
Materials:
Wooden star shape
Yellow or harvest gold paint
Paintbrush
Wire about 16" long (coat hanger)
Permanent marker
Drill or hammer & nail

Paint the star. Let dry. Drill holes on
each side of the star. Put the wire through one
side. Twist at the center and twist through
another side. With a marker, write on the
front, "When you wish upon a star."


INDIAN RAINSTICK  
Thanksgiving – Nov. 
Materials:
Paper towel tube
Brown packing tape
Brown grocery sack
Aluminum foil
Beans, Rice, or unpopped popcorn
(The Indians used these sticks as good luck and to do their rain dance with.) On the brown
paper, trace around the top of the paper towel tube. Then draw another circle around it, about 1 ½
inches larger. Cut spokes from the outside edge to the inner circle. Fold spokes down around the top of
the tube, then tape down with packing tape. Cut aluminum foil 4" taller than the length of the tube.
Scrunch the aluminum, then place inside of tube on the open end. Pour a couple of handfuls of
beans into the tube. Then seal the bottom end with a circle the same as the top. Decorate if you
wish. Paint or color with crayons or markers. Tie twine around the top and put beads and feathers
on it
