Magic Squares Game


The pastime of Magic Squares first played in ancient Egypt, still fascinates and challenges
players today.
To Play: Make a game board or copy the one below. You are ready to play! The object is to
write the numbers 1 through 9 in the circles on the board so that all rows, columns, and 
diagonal lines add up to fifteen. One solution is shown. In fact, this is the only solution except
for six mirror images and rotations of itself. Even when you know the solution, it is still a
challenge.
