B-U-G-S AND T-H-I-N-G-S

PERSONNEL: Leader and 10 boys.

EQUIPMENT: Paint one block letter of words B-U-G-S & T-H-I-N-G-S (including "and" sign) on each of eleven cardboard squares. On the reverse side print recitation.

B - is for beavers who work very hard,

U - is for us, who must help them keep guard.

G - is for the groundhog who can lengthen the season

S - is for snakes who exist for a reason.

& - (sign held by the leader)

T - is for turtles who move so very slow

H - is for horseflies, lookout where they go!

I - is for insects who creep, crawl, and fly

N - is for the noises from the trees on high.

G - is for the ground, which comforts a sleeping bear

S - is for scouts who show nature that they care.
