Account Manager

InsaneScouter is currently looking of a account manager. You will need to help us develop our message to potential customers, pitch those potential customers and be the first point of contact for said customers. Furthermore, you will need to obsessively communicate with us to help us improve what we currently offer, provided us feedback so we can tweak what we offer to meet customer demands, put together effective messages / pitches and help us better market the site and obtain page sponsors.

InsaneScouter is a website for Boy Scouts and Guides full of resources to help the global Scouting community put on a better program for their youth. We has been in existence over 10 years, and receives over 26,000 unique visitors a month (currently increasing by roughly 5,000 visits a month) who on average view 245,000 pages a month. InsaneScouter has over 400 registered users, and 20 volunteers from five different countries who have helped us add over 4,200 pages of content and hundreds of new pages every month.

InsaneScouter is part of a niche market made up of over 5 million American Scouts and Guides and over 30 million world wide. Scout leaders tend to be family oriented, own at least one car, like to camp and hike, 87% are married, 66% male, 34% female, 90% own there residence, 61% send there kids to a summer camp and their average age is 46.

Your job will be to sell “page sponsorships†to potential vendors. The “page sponsorship†is actually nothing more then a banner ad, on top of the page(s) they sponsor. They will also be thanked on our friends page, receive an automatic email with there ad stats, and have access to our ad server for live ad stats. The prices ranges from $10-$30 a month per page (depending how many pages they sponsor). For every potential sponsor they refer to us who signs up, they will receive either a free ad in our newsletter or a free right side ad.

Potential vendors could include: craft stores, camping gear, amusement parks, museums, campgrounds, games, toys, embroidery, silk screening, first aid, fund-raising, and so on. We do have have a small list of potential vendors to get you going, however mostly you will need to get your own leads.

You will be paid a commission for every page you get sponsored. You can make thousands a month. Commission is residual, so as long as the page remains sponsored you will be paid a commission on that page - more pages you get sponsored the more you make. We pay through PayPal as a contractor on a agreed upon cycle.
