Five Thousand Chicks

Props: Farm clothes for both players.
Special Effects: [Knock, knock, knock]

Farmer: Is this the farmer's information office?

Manager: Yep, what can I do for you?

Farmer: Well, I'm havin' an awful time on that chicken farm I bought.

Manager: You're that new feller that moved in from the big city, right? Tell me, what's goin' wrong?

Farmer: I bought 1000 baby chicks, see, and they all died.

Manager: Oh, that's terrible! What did you do then?

Farmer: Then I went out and bought 2000 more chicks and started all over again, and the same thing happened.

Manager: Oh my gosh! Was it some disease or did a fox get them?

Farmer: Well, I don't know. But, my wife said I should come and see you, so I came to town and bought 2000 more and I've got them out in the truck! That's 5000 total now!

Manager: You'd better tell me what you did before you get this lot home. How did you go about raisin' them?

Farmer: Well, I don't know if I'm planting them too deep or too far apart!
