My Final Year as a Den Leader

By: Posted On: 2013-02-12

Hello Everyone,

Hope you are having a great Summer and are enjoying the Great Outdoors.  I am getting ready for my final year as my sons Den Leader.  They are Webelos 2 now and when we start up in the Fall will be my last year as their Den Leader and the other Den Leaders for our Webelos Den.

My job for the upcoming year is to get them ready for Bridging to Boys Scouts and enjoy being Webelos Scouts.  We have many camping events organized and activities for the upcoming Scouting Year.

As I think back and look back at pictures and my notes when most of the boys were Tigers it has been a great adventure being their Den Leader.  The personal growth I have gained has been great and the experience gained is priceless.

My Mother was my Den Leader as a Cub Scout and I am proud to continue the tradition in my family being the Den Leader for my sons.  Thank you to all of you who have served as Adult Leaders in Boy and Girl Scouting, without you both programs wouldn't be what they are today.

Yours in Scouting, ptsteve
