This is the eighth book of this twelve part series, written by Maj. Archibald Lee Fletcher.

Boy Scouts in the Everglades continues the new story line for the series that began with the seventh volume, Boy Scouts on Old Superior (also available from Big Rock Publishing). Starting in the previous book, Fletcher left behind the by-now familiar characters and exploits of the boys of the Beverly, Indiana, Beaver Patrol, and turned to their compatriots in the Beaver Patrol of Chicago. These street-wise sixteen-year-old’s, now unencumbered by jobs and responsibilities, and flush with the reward money they earned by breaking up the gang of smugglers on Old Superior, find themselves sent on another mission by their benefactor, the successful Chicago attorney, Mr. Horton.

This time, the trail takes them deep into the Florida Everglades, on a mission to find the missing son of a prominent Chicago banker. Along the way, the encounter thieves, pirates, wreckers, a Seminole man, and a cadre of other scouts, all apparently looking for the same boy.
