Hmmm... Electrical Outlets

By: Posted On: 2010-04-11

As a small lad, maybe like 3-6 years of age I had this bad tendency to put bobby pins and screw drivers in outlets. I really don't know why I did it. Maybe I just liked the jolt of electric, or maybe I liked to see the sparks … who knows. I did this many times over a few years, got burned a few times even. On more then occasion I would use my play plastic pliers to remove what ever I put into the outlet. Mom was always impressed I know to use my plastic pliers to remove it. What is strange only a fraction of the time would I actually trip the circuit breaker and even stranger I only remember needing medical treatment once. Often times my mom would only figure out I did again when she saw an outlet with a blackened faceplate. She would then come find me and check my hands for burns, and make sure I was ok.

I don't really know my point of this post, or even why I am sharing maybe it will just be one of those parental head shaking moments of what were you thinking. Maybe it helps explain why I am so weird today … shrugs....
