Hey there, Scout Leaders!

We know that the recent events surrounding the Boy Scouts of America (BSA) have been tough to swallow. The organization has faced bankruptcy and abuse cases, which have led to some challenging times. However, as we look to the future of Scouting, we want to encourage you to think positively and consider what the future of Scouting could look like.

First off, it’s important to acknowledge that the past few years have been a difficult time for the BSA. The organization has faced a number of challenges, including lawsuits, bankruptcy, and declining membership. We know that these challenges can be discouraging, but we believe that there are still many reasons to be optimistic about the future of Scouting.

One reason for optimism is that Scouting remains a valuable program for young people. Scouts learn important life skills, such as leadership, teamwork, and problem-solving. They also have the opportunity to explore nature, learn about different cultures, and give back to their communities. These are all valuable experiences that can help young people grow and develop.

Another reason for optimism is that the BSA is taking steps to address its past mistakes. The organization has created a victims compensation fund and has implemented new policies to prevent abuse from happening in the future. While these steps can’t erase the harm that has been done, they do show a commitment to making things right and to creating a safer environment for all Scouts.

Finally, we believe that Scout Leaders like you are the key to the future of Scouting. You are the ones who inspire and guide young people, and who help create a positive and inclusive culture within your troops. By continuing to lead with integrity and enthusiasm, you can help ensure that Scouting remains a vibrant and meaningful program for years to come.

So, what do you think? Are you feeling optimistic about the future of Scouting? We’d love to hear your thoughts and ideas for how we can continue to make Scouting a positive force in the lives of young people. Let’s work together to create a bright future for Scouting!
