Only Men Can Make

ARRANGEMENT: Flags are advanced in the usual manner. Audience repeats the Pledge of

Allegiance. Flags are posted. Patriotic background music is played while the Narrator reads the following:

"Not gold, but only men can make,

A nation great and strong.

Men who for truth and honor's sake,

Stand fast and suffer long.

Brave men who work while others sleep,

Who dares while others shy?

They build a nation's pillars deep,

And lift them to the sky."

Ralph Waldo Emerson
