Solar System Fruit Salad

You will need 1 apple, 1 large orange, 1-cup grapes, 1 large banana, 1-cup strawberries, 1 peach, 1 pear.

Beforehand label the fruit with names of a different planet. Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Neptune and so on. You could also use the Moon, the Milky Way, stars or anything you would like to. Have each child choose one item they would like to add to the salad. Before they can add it they need to tell you something they know about that planet or what it might be like in the future. Remember to peel and core the apple, peach, and pears before slicing them and adding them to the salad. Along with peeling and slicing the orange and slicing up the strawberries. Once it has all been added to the bowl, stir it gently to combine. Serve in small bowls or cups. Makes 16 half-cup serving.
