The Picture Of The Wolf

 

PERSONNEL: Cubmaster, advancing Cub Scouts and their parents

EQUIPMENT: Large Cutout or drawing of Wolf Cub Scout Badge, stand, or easel, a single candle holder with a blue candle, Wolf Cub Scout Badge, certificate, straight pins. (Ceremony may be adapted for Bear Achievement)

CUBMASTER: Since our last Pack meeting one of our Cub Scouts has completed all the achievements for Wolf. Tonight we honor his parents and him at our Wolf ceremony. Will Cub (name) and his parents please come forward. According to your Wolf book, you have completed all the achievements for the Wolf Rank I am glad you have attained this honor and hope you will continue to progress through the Gold and Silver Arrow Point electives until you have reached the third grade and start work on the Bear rank. Before you is a picture of the Wolf badge which you now wear with pride.

Also before you is a candle that represents the spirit of Cub Scouting. By advancing from Bobcat to Wolf you have demonstrated the spirit of Cubbing in your everyday life. (light candle). Mr. & Mrs.(      ) we are happy that your son has completed the requirements of the Wolf. You were privileged to help him with his badge and certificate. Now, (cub) give the Cub Scout sign and repeat the Cub Scout Promise after me. (he does so) Congratulations, and may you soon appear before our pack for Gold and Silver Arrow Points.
