Musical dutch oven

By:    Posted On: 2018-07-24

Dutch-oven cooking has always been a part of Scouting. But learning to cook in a Dutch oven can be a bit of trial and error unless you have someone who can share some know-how and some good recipes. A Dutch oven is such a good cooking tool that can be used to cook many different types of foods for many different applications. They are especially useful when you bring one to camp, it’s like bringing the kitchen from home. It can be used to fry, sauté, bake, stew, roast or slow cook — any time of day and for nearly any type of meal. It’s not uncommon for a single recipe to involve several cooking methods using the same oven. Don’t be concerned about learning how to use a Dutch oven as we’ve put together some great recipes and instructions for you to cook with a dutch oven.

The 1st recipe is called Stir Crazy Cake, and it looks and tastes very good. Click the link below to see how.

How about making Sopapillas? Sopapillas are a kind of fried pastry, and this recipe is easy to use and makes some great tasting dessert after your meal.

One of my favorite meals of all time is Baked beans with beef. This is delicious and will fill you up.

You can make a hearty bean and vegetable soup that has lots of good vegetables that cook up to make a great dinner for everyone.

Breakfasts are very doable in a Dutch oven…here is a super breakfast recipe to feed everybody 1st thing in the morning. This recipe is called Mountain man breakfast.

Here is a link to click on that will take you to a whole bunch of Dutch oven recipes collected for you to cook and enjoy eating!
