Two Years of Rambling

By: Posted On: 2010-05-15

On June 7, 2008 I posted my first blog post to the InsaneScouter Ramblings. I can;t believe it has been so long, it really doesn't feel like it. Yet in those two years there have been some amazing posts. So today I am going to look back at a few.

We cant forget the tragic day when 4 Scouts were killed in Iowa by a tornado http://insanescouter.org/blog/115/Iowa_Tornado_Kills_4_at_Scout_Camp.html

On Jan 28, 2009 Hot Chocolate Wisdom was posted .. and was such a great post even though I came across it in a mailing list http://insanescouter.org/blog/121/Hot_Chocolate_Wisdom.html

Have you ever thought about what it is like for a new Scout on the first campout once the sun sits. In Monsters of the Dark I talk about what it was like for me as a young Socut. http://insanescouter.org/blog/136/Monsters_in_the_dark.html

I also got to do some good interviews with movie like stars like when I did tehse two with 759: Boy Scouts of Harlem and Boy Scout Summer Camp. http://insanescouter.org/blog/167/Interview_of_Garrett_Batty_director_of_Scout_Camp_The_Movie.html and http://insanescouter.org/blog/181/interview_Director_of_759_Boy_Scouts_of_Harlem.html

The most popular posts I ever did was the Kamp Kitchen Series, go back to August of 2009 and you cand find this series will I talk about the parts of a group camp kitchen.

I wrote a post by request called Eagle Island. This post talked about a Webelos theme I used that worked around Citzen, Communicator, and Readyman. http://insanescouter.org/blog/193/Eagle_Island.html

I also want to thank my guest bloggers such as PTSteve he wrote a popular post called Scout Shop Loves me http://insanescouter.org/blog/241/Scout_Shop_Loves_Me.html

I tried a series called Lessons from the past and it has not done so well. I tried to take stories from my past and put kind of a twist of humor on them like America's Funniest videos would .. Here is an example from when April 1, 1987 when I went before the board for my First Class Rank - http://insanescouter.org/blog/254/Lesson_First_Class_Board_of_Review.html

Lets also thank Fuzzy and Scout two cute cuddly bear cubs for there month posts such as this one from March 2010 http://insanescouter.org/blog/258/Fuzzy_and_Scout__March_2010.html

Welp hope you enjoyed the walk down memory lane with me. Thank you all for following me and I hope we will have many more years together to come.

I snap to attention and salute you all!
