Dreams

By: Posted On: 2009-08-04

Dreams are wonderful, they are what keep us going, give us hope and something to look forward to. They are a big part of what motivates us to go through life day by day. Dreams are a big part of who we are and who we become. After all, we know the one who does not dream, never changes who they are or where they are going. However one has to be careful what they dream, what the pretend to be. As Shakespeare once wrote I believe in Hamlet “We are what we pretend to be. So we must be careful what we pretend to be.”

Actions are the steps we take every day to make those dreams come true. If life was an old brick path, then we would need to pick a direction. Lay some bricks down and taking a step forward - repeat.

Coming up with dreams is fun and in its own way rewarding. The challenge comes in when making that dream come true. Most of us underestimate the challenges, hardship, difficulties and hard work it takes to make their dreams come true. It always amazes me how many dreams are lost just because no one took that first step forward. Don't be afraid of failing as you can not succeed unless you also take the chance of failing. Just like you can't win a game if you don't take the chance of losing. Are you happy? Have you ever been sad? As we know from the movies there can not be good with out bad. Things in life are in parallel one thing can not exist with out the other. The trick in life is learning to control and balance the two.

I ask you now what is your big dream? What steps did you take yesterday, today, and will take tomorrow to make it come true? Please tell us in the comments section below.

Be forewarned there is always another dream, another mountain for you to climb. It is the adventure and experience that makes life great not the since of accomplishment you fell at the end, as it is actually not the end … look over there its another dream another mountain. The end only comes with death.
