Eagle Scouts

The simple fact that a boy is an Eagle Scout carries a lot of weight, special significance to the boy, but not only in Scouting but also in the real world like college, work, the military and many other areas of life. This award is performance-based achievement with high standards that have been maintained over the years. Not every boy who joining Scouting will earn Eagle, in fact only about 2.5 percent do. This represents about 1 million Scouts since 1911. Nevertheless, the goals of Scouting - citizenship training, character development, and personal fitness - remain important to all Scouts.
