Signs Of America

EQUIPMENT: Small flag, Wolf Badge, Webelos Handbook and lighted candle on table Cub Scouts, these four things have been significant of Cub Scouting since it began in 1930. The badge is a symbol of Cub Scouting all over America. There are many books that are important to Cub Scouts.

The Wolf, Bear, and Webelos Handbooks help us to learn new skills. The Bible is another important book because it guides our daily lives. The American flag is the symbol of our country and the good things it represents. The candle is a symbol of the light of Scouting which penetrates the darkness of hate, prejudice, and distrust. It is a light that must be kept burning in the heart of every Scout, now and as he grows to manhood.
