Making That Leap

We have all heard the words of Neil Armstrong as he stepped on the surface of the Moon for the first time, "One small step for man, one giant leap for mankind." What is remarkable about these words is that even when performing an incredible personal achievement, he also knew his actions would have an impact on billions of people over a quarter of a million miles away. He was saying that the words and actions of each of us affect the lives of those around us. The Cub Scout Promise tells us to do our best, help others, and to do our duty. If we all followed the Cub Scout Promise, we would truly be making a giant leap for mankind.
