It Doesn't Take A Detective

It doesn't take a detective to figure out a thing or two.

Why do we get a tear in the eye, when we see the red, white and blue?

Why do we get a lump in our throat, when we stand and sing, "Oh Say can you see?"

And why are people still risking their lives to come and reside in this land of the free?

It's for freedom.

Yes, true freedom.

But it calls us all to do our part,

To fight and die, to serve and work, and love with all our heart!

Will everyone please stand and reflect on this magnificent symbol of our nation, while we retire the colors?
