Good Deeds Closing Ceremony

Personnel:  6 Cub Scouts

Equipment:  Stars of different sizes for the boys to hold

Cub #1:   Lord Baden-Powell, the founder of Scouting, said to Scouts everywhere:

Cub #2:   “I often think when the sun goes down, the world is hidden by a big blanket from the light of heaven…

Cub #3:   “but the stars are little holes pierced in that blanket by those who have done good deeds in this world.

Cub #4:   “The stars are not all the same size, some are big, some are little, as some men have done great deeds and some have done small deeds…

Cub #5:    “But they have all made their holes in the blanket by doing good before they went to heaven.”
