Siesta or Fiesta

Author:  Longhorn Council

(Tune: Home on the Range)

Down Mexico way, they have parties to gay;
Which they call a great big fiesta,
And during each day, they take time from their play,
To take a relaxing siesta.

Chorus:
South, south of the border,
A relaxed kind of people we find.
They don’t seem to worry or rush in a hurry,
We should have more of that kind.

During each day, down in Mexico way,
They take a rest called a siesta,
Then there’s lots of fun for everyone
When they have an exciting fiesta.
