Musical Hoops

Equipment: Music, hula-hoops or circles of rope
(Quantity will vary depending on the number of players)

To Play: Scatter hoops around the play area. Play music loud enough for all to hear. Instruct players to move around while the music plays. When the music stops, each player must be holding on to one of the hoops. Remove one hoop each time the music stops until all the players are holding on to only one hoop.

Variation: The leader can have the players’ hop, skip, and crawl, walk backward, etc. while the music plays. Or, instead of holding the hoops, have the players stand inside them, so in the end they all have to fit inside the same one.
