Blowin' In The Wind

Author:  GSLC

Materials needed: A fan, artificial
leaves (craft store), 2
child size plastic rakes, and
a watch with a second hand.

Scatter the leaves on the ground. Divide the
boys into two groups. The object of the game
is to be the team with the most leaves in its
pile (designate a spot for each team). Aim the
fan so it blows on the leaves. Give each team
a rake. Each boy will have 30 seconds to rake
as many leaves as he can into his pile. Choose
before hand whether the boys can take from
each other’s piles. At the end of 30 sec. yell
“switch” and they must give the rake to another
boy on the team. The game is over when
all the boys have had a turn, or all the leaves
are gathered. If the boys find this easy then add
blindfolds to make it more difficult.
