Farmer Says

Author:  GSLC

Play this game like “Simon says” except say
“Farmer ______ says or I planted _____.”
The farmer stands at the front and calls out the
names of vegetables. When the farmer says I
planted “corn”, the Cub Scouts grab their ears.
For “onions” they pretend to rub their eyes; for
“carrots” they touch their nose and draw their
hand out in air; for “potatoes” they pretend to
dig at the ground; for “broccoli” they put their
hands on their heads. Add other vegetables and
symbols. If the Cub Scout gets mixed up and
“plants” the wrong vegetable then he must sit
out until the next round. The winner is the last
boy still planting. Try to confuse the boys by
saying one vegetable while making the sign for
a different one.
