Mexican Apple Empenadas

Ingredients:
1 – 21 oz can apple pie filling
1/2 cup sugar
6 flour tortillas
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 cup water
1/3 cup margarine

Preheat Oven to 350°.

Spoon fruit evenly onto all tortillas. Sprinkle with cinnamon. Roll up tortillas and place seam
side down on lightly greased 8” x 8” pan. Bring margarine, sugars and water to a boil in a
medium saucepan. Reduce the heat and simmer, stirring constantly, for 3 minutes. Pour sauce
evenly over tortillas. Sprinkle with extra cinnamon on top. Bake for 20 minutes. Cut in half
and serve warm.
