Fossil Imprint Craft

Make up a batch of dough and create a fossil
imprint.

What you’ll need:
• 2 cups of flour
• ½ cup salt
• ¾ cup of water
• bowl
• measuring cup
• objects for making fossils
(leaves, shells, twigs, toy dinosaurs, animal foot
prints, stamps)

1. Measure and mix together the flour, salt,
and water to make a batch of dough. Knead the
dough for about five minutes, and form it into
small balls. Flatten the balls to prepare them
for a fossil print.

2. Make impressions in the dough with the different
objects.

3. Make one print in each flattened ball. Place
the fossils on a rack; let them dry for several
days.
