Coach Rededication

PERSONNEL: Cubmaster, committee chairman, or the retiring coach

EQUIPMENT: Five candles in holders, the back two being higher than the front three, appropriate "coach" patch, table

SETTING: The presenter is in front of the room facing the audience

NARRATOR: Will ____ please come forward. Before you are five candles. The top two, like the alert ears of a wolf, represent the two upright fingers of the Cub Scout sign.

They mean to obey, and to help other people. The three candles at the bottom represent the folded three fingers of our Cub Scout sign. These three fingers. Stand for the three secret letters in the law, F-H-G.

These letters mean Follow, Helps, Gives.

Now; will you rededicate yourself to Cub Scouting and to your new position by repeating after me:

I, _____ promise to do my best to help the members of my pack, our Cubmaster, .and our den leaders, to help other people, and obey the Law of the Pack. As a representative of this pack, I take pleasure in presenting you with your badge of office. May the days ahead fair and happy.
