Home Depot or Lowe's as a Go See It

By: Posted On: 2012-12-20

Hello Everyone,

Hope you are having a great Scouting Year.  The last Den Meeting for my Den was a outing to the local Home Depot.

They had a wood project for the boys to build which help meet Advancement requirements and also gave the boys experience with hand tools.  They built window bird feeders and had a great time, even my special needs Scouts.

They took us on a tour of the Home Depot and we got to see what happened behind the store front, the boys had a great time with this and many questions.  We also went through the tools and power tools and of course the boys had fun looking and doing some touching, don't worry no power tools were plugged in or in use.

It makes for a good Go See It and the Lowe's and Home Depot are happy to take the time to do it for the boys.

Yours in Scouting, ptsteve
