Tuna Melts In A Pie Iron 2 slices bread 1 Tbs butter or margarine Prepared Tuna Cheese slices Butter bread and lay in pie iron, buttered side against iron. Fill center with filling. Close pie iron, pull off excess bread. Set in coals. Turn every 3 minutes. Check after 6 minutes to see if brown Personal Pita Pocket Pizza 4 pieces of pita bread 2 cups pizza sauce 2 cups shredded Mozzarella cheese toppings as desired (sausage, hamburger, mushrooms, olives, pepperoni, etc.) If desired you can cook any of the meat toppings at home Start fire and let burn down to coals if meat toppings haven't been pre cooked at home they can be cooked over fire. Cut open the pita bread along the sides, leaving one side together Spread one side (bottom) of pita bread with 1/2 cup of pizza sauce. Top with desired toppings, then 1/2 cup cheese. Close pita bread. Wrap complete pizza in foil. Cook over coals for 15 to 30 minutes. Serving Suggestions: Serve out of foil - no dishes!! (well, some girls INSIST on using a fork, but most are willing to just use their fingers once the pizzas have cooled down a little.) ICE CREAM IN A BAGGIE Put in a sandwich-size Zip-Loc bag and "zip" closed: 1 tablespoon sugar 1/2 cup milk or half & half 1/4 teaspoon vanilla
Put in a gallon-size Zip-Loc bag and zip closed: 2 T. rock salt (baking aisle in grocery) the filled and zipped sandwich bag from above ice cubes to fill bag about 3/4 full Shake and roll filled bag over and over until frozen (about 15-20 min.) YUMMY!
As the ice melts it does leak a little so do outside.

Fun Recipes for Scouts@Leonardo on 07/10/2012 I have to agree with SP.When I'm with Sparks, Brownies and Guides, I prefer the girls wear their unfmrois (or at the very least shirt, tie & sash with the pants they wore to school that day). But with Pathfinders and Rangers, I'm pretty casual when it comes to regular meetings. I don't require the girls to wear their unfmrois unless we have a special guest coming in. With them, I just wear my GGC hoodie for meetings.Special occasions/ceremonies I insist the girls wear full dress uniform, and outings (depending on the place) I like for the girls to wear full uniform, or for museums and casual outings, any GGC t-shirt with tie works, and makes them feel much more comfortable. I love the unfmrois, I find it easier to identify (and do head count) the girls in public, and the public loves to see the girls all dressed up and volunteering, or just out for a walk.

May 2013 Quick Update
Okay, okay, okay, I am pretty bad about this regular posting thing but I'm hoping to write more often, as Scouting for me has been extremely complicated and extremely busy....
