In the second book of this twelve part series, written by Maj. Archibald Lee Fletcher, finds the boys of the Beaver Patrol of Beverly, Indiana, as they boys continue to build and grow their patrol. Surely, they face many obstacles. They have proven themselves to be worthy of the Scout Badge with their heroic exploits, as told in Book One of this series, but there are still many townspeople ready to view them in a skeptical light. In this book, the boys once again must face off against their rivals in the Wildcat patrol, a gang of rough boys that try to compete with (and sabotage) the Beverly Boy Scouts in every possible way, though their group is not approved by BSA Headquarters. This is also the book in which the peaceful Quaker boy, Jotham, shows his courage in a climactic final face off against the most dangerous of early 20th century foes.

See what adventures ensue for the boys of the Beaver Patrol of Beverly, Indiana: Andy, the ‘hot-blooded Southern lad’; the timorous tenderfoot Babe; Seth, a jokester who can switch to fighting mode at a moment’s notice; the peaceful yet deeply valiant Quaker boy Jotham; Fritz, the gifted tracker and ambitious second in command; Eben, the struggling bugler; the roly-poly and heavily-accented German boy Noodles; and of course, Paul, the courageous and almost superhuman Patrol Leader.
