Think of lashing as a form of weaving poles together to connect poles together. Depending on what you need the poles to do depends on the weave, exact lashing you are use. For example: you use a tripod lashing when you want 3 poles to stand up like a tripod over say a campfire, or square lashing when two poles cross each other like a cross, a diagonal lashing when two poles cross forming an “x”, sheer lashing is when you want to weave poles together to create say a raft, and round lashing when you want to join two poles together to make one longer pole like maybe a flag pole.

Pamela O'Banion - I am nominating my niece Tonya VanWinkle for this coestnt. She is well on her way to reaching her weight loss goals. She is truly an inspiration and an amazing young woman. I am so very proud of her, and the life she is living. Not only is she a military wife who has had to face several deployments, being separated from her husband different times, she is also the mother of two young children. She is a very hands-on mother, who is devoted to her children and involved in every aspect of their lives. She is a very talented and crafty person, who is always creating something beautiful to share with all of her family and friends, whether it be a scrapbook, greeting cards, or simply all the meaningful photos she shares on facebook, so that the many miles between her and the family dont stop us from being a part of their lives. Tonya simply shines, and when she does something, she goes all out. Her weight loss journey has been the same! She is getting leaner and healthier, and she is doing it the right way, by making true lifestyle changes. I love the fact that she has not only done this for herself, but she has included her family also. She prepares family dinners that are healthy and nutritious, and she includes her children in many of her physical activities, taking them skating, hiking, and even marathons! Somehow, even after all of this, she always has the time to keep in touch, inspire the rest of us, and share all of the things she is learning about her new, healthy lifestyle!
