This tip is thanks to Mark Ray from http://www.eaglebook.com Go to enough Eagle courts of honor, and you’ll eventually see someone skip his lines in the script or read someone else’s lines by mistake. That’s no surprise considering that few Scouters are public speakers by profession. A simple way to minimize such problems is to create a color-coded master script and place it on the lectern in a three-ring binder. How can you color-code your scripts? If you have access to a color printer, you can assign font colors in your word processor. Or, you can buy a multi-pack of highlighters and colorize your black-and-white printout. You don’t have to highlight every single word, by the way; just highlighting the presenters’ names is probably enough. In fact, that’s probably preferable since reading heavily highlighted text can be difficult.

Eagle Tip - Tonight's Ceremony: Brought to You in Technicolor@Paula Hrbacek on 03/31/2011 If you are planning an Eagle Court of Honor that takes place in a church or includes a worship service, I have original scout hymns on my web site, projectsbypaula.com. (A Boy Scout's One Foundation and They'll Know We Are Boy Scouts by Our Law) I also have bookmarks as a Word Document that I made for my sons for party favors at the reception. I printed copies on my computer, laminated them with clear packing tape, and added a tassel with a Lark's Head knot.
